GROW A GOOD CONNECTION

How to find locally grown cut flowers in Maine

A few stems for a table and flowers for an event need different amounts of planning. Grove helps you look for ornamental cut flowers and ask a grower about the details that matter. The pilot's flower category does not include plants, nursery stock or edible-flower claims.

Describe the result as well as the flower

If you know the flower you want, search by its name. If you are flexible, describe your preferred colors, approximate stem count and intended use in a request. Explain whether substitutions would work. This gives a grower a more useful starting point than a request for flowers with no date or quantity.

Be explicit about timing

Check the harvest window and whether the listing is current or planned. Ask when availability can be confirmed, especially if your date cannot move. A planned listing expresses the grower's expectation; it is not an event booking or a reserved supply. Discuss any preparation or collection needs directly.

Understand what the listing covers

Ask whether the quantity describes individual stems, bunches or another unit, and clarify what is included. Grove connects people; it does not provide floral design, take deposits, arrange delivery or guarantee an arrangement. A clear private conversation helps you decide whether a grower's harvest fits what you have in mind.

Three questions to bring to the conversation

Try a search, then tell us what is missing.
